About Town Punat
Punat, 15 km before Baska, lies in the southern part of the island of Krk, in one of the most beautiful and well-protected bays of the Adriatic. Punat is today known in Europe for one of the largest and best-equipped tourist marinas on the eastern coast of the Adriatic. It also has an outstanding jewel: the islet of Kosšljun with its Franciscan monastery, which lies in the middle of the Punat Bay.
As for windsurfing, Punat is more suitable for beginners and less experienced surfers. Prevailing wind suitable for windsurfing is again bura, but it has much weaker strength than in Baska. Another good wind is southern jugo. When bura is blowing the best place for windsurfing is after marina, and during jugo, the other side of the bay.
